Head To Our Bath Restaurant For A Fine Dining Experience
We work hard to make it look easy.
The Olive Tree is found below the popular and acclaimed Queensberry Hotel, a beautifully quirky, and quirkily beautiful, townhouse hotel. Head chef Chris Cleghorn oversees a menu which draws heavily on high-quality local produce. It might sound like an idle claim (it’s something you hear bandied about a lot these days), but Bath is lucky to be surrounded by exceptional, lush farmland; we’ve taken the time and trouble to build up great relationships with local suppliers of fruit, vegetables, cheeses and meat. The highest compliment we can pay such bounty is to make sure we have an inventive head chef fashioning it into a striking, delicious and frequently-changing menu.
When the AA awarded us three rosettes they were looking for, and found: “cooking underpinned by the selection and sympathetic treatment of the highest quality ingredients. Timing, seasoning and the judgement of flavour combinations will consistently be excellent.”
Since then we’ve won plenty of other awards, not only for the food, but also for our wine list, which is a labour of love and, as such, a deserved past winner of The Good Food Guide’s UK Best Wine List.
Our Bath restaurant frequently offers specially-priced lunches or dinners, and tie them in with promotions in the hotel’s Old Q Bar, a small, idiosyncratic, comfortable spot whose passion for the finest and sometimes rarest drinks from around the world is matched only by the knowledge and friendliness of those serving them.
Both the bar and the restaurant are firmly, and independently, established as great places to eat in Bath, as well as meet, drink and relax.
