The Olive Tree Restaurant at the Queensberry Hotel currently has the following vacancies:


Junior Sous Chef

The Olive Tree Restaurant at The Queensberry Hotel is looking for an ambitious Junior Sous Chef to join our dedicated kitchen team.

Join the award winning team:

  • Only Michelin star restaurant in Bath
  • 3AA rosettes
  • Work with Chris Cleghorn, trained with Heston Blumenthal (Fat Duck at Bray), Michael Caines (Gidleigh Park) and Adam Simmonds (Danesfield House)
  • Career progression opportunities, would also suit a Senior Chef de Partie to be trained up to a Junior sous level

Details of The Olive Tree Restaurant:

  • Dinner 6;30pm-9pm (Tuesday to Sunday)
  • Lunch 12;30am-2pm (Friday to Sunday )
  • Closed Mondays (only breakfast and room service )
  • Close 4 weeks of the year ( 1 week January,1 week April, 1 week august,1 week November) breakfast and room service still covered 7 days a week whilst closed.
  • 1 breakfast shift a week ( 6;45am- 3pm )
  • 2 days off
  • Offer a 5 or 7 tasting menu, al a carte, lunch menu on weekends only
  • No afternoon tea served

Chef de Partie

Accommodation is available from around £550 a month inclusive of bills, subject to availability.

The salary is £22,400 p/a inclusive of gratuities.

Kitchen Porter

The Olive Tree Restaurant is looking for a full or part time Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team.

The role is based upon 5 days per week on a rota basis with 5 straight shifts. On an average of 40 hours per week.(£8.17 an hour)

This is a physically demanding job working in a high pressure and very busy environment. Ideally we are looking for someone with some experience although training will be given.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Cleaning the kitchen
  • Operating the dishwasher
  • Basic food prep
  • Assisting the kitchen team in daily duties
